Vuur & Wadel
One guitar, one djembe drum, two voices, and a ton of laughs.
Peet Vuur and Carolyn Wadel make up this dynamic duo of acoustic soup. Get ready to tap your feet, dance in your chair, and share a few laughs with these two.
Peet Vuur has been singing since before he could talk. From choirs to big-production band work, his true passion is with the sum of the parts – what happens when voices come together in harmony. Peet’s warmth and humor shine brightest when he’s singing his heart out with guitar in hand.
Carolyn Wadel started playing classical piano at age five and later took up guitar in her early 20’s because "it was too hard to live on a boat with a piano." As for the drum, she discovered her true love and the magic of rhythm when she was entranced by the sound of distant drums in the middle of the night at the Island Folk Festival ten years ago. She went home and pulled out the biggest stew pot she could find while she saved up for her first djembe.
Together these two offer up a sweet mix of memories, originals, giggles, and a few covers you may never have heard before!
